How do we purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online here. You may also purchase tickets as a walk-up on the day of the tour.

Is advance purchase required?
Advance purchase is recommended as there is a good chance the tour will be full, leaving no room for walk-up guests.

Where do the tours meet?
All our walking tours meet in front of Spirit Square on North Tryon Street in Charlotte, NC.  Our Bus Tours meet on 10th Street at the Charlotte Town parking lot.

Is parking available?
For our Walking Tours, there are some metered parking spaces on Tryon Street but they are often taken and require you to continually feed the meter.  Your best bet is to either park in a paid lot or park in one of the garages around Discovery Place.  For our Bus Tours, there is a designated parking lot.

What is the cancellation policy?
If you need to change your tickets, you can do so with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. Just let us know. In extreme cases we may ask for a Doctor’s excuse or a note from your parents, Just Kidding!

What if it rains?
Tours will go on rain or shine unless there are severe conditions. Feel free to contact us if you have any concerns.

Are restrooms available?
There are no restrooms available on any of the tours.  Please make sure to use the restroom before arriving for your tour.

“Are we gonna see a ghost on the any of the tours?”
Maybe.  We provide no guarantee that paranormal activity will occur on our tours.  They only come out when they want to.

Is the tour too scary for children?
The tours are family oriented, but if your child screams the entire trip, we do ask you keep that child at least 100 feet from the other guests. And if your child freaks out from hearing ghost stories, it is probably your fault, not ours.  Some of our tours may include some adult appropriate language or commentary.  Feel free to contact us with questions about our tour content.

Are still photography cameras allowed on the tours?
YES!! In fact, we highly recommend taking pictures during the tour. We often get pictures of some eerie stuff from our guests!!  We would appreciate you sending anything out of the ordinary to us. You can e-mail us any photos.

Should I tip my guide after the tour?
It is not mandatory but the guides sure do appreciate tips and they help us eat better.

How long do the tours last?
Our walking tours last approximately 1 ½ hours and cover about 3/4 mile. There are frequent stops along the way and the tour is far from strenuous.  The Bus Tours are generally two hours and include a few stops.  The Buses are climate controlled with comfortable seating.

Do you offer discounts if we take more than one tour?
Yes, we will give you $3 off per person for doing two of our tours.

What is the pace of the tour?
The pace is greatly influenced by the city, its sidewalks, weather and terrain. One should note that the pace of our tours cannot be slowed as we are bound to time constraints. If you or a member of your group has a disability, please speak with our staff before you decide to take the tour.

Are your tours accessible for people with disabilities?
Yes, with advanced notice (two business days) all our tours can accommodate people with disabilities. Keep in mind Charlotte was built on uneven terrain and the public streets, sidewalks, and cemeteries can be uneven.
